Eisenhut Award for Brokerage and Exclusive Agents Portal based on FirstSpirit CMS

For the second year in a row, insurer BGV / Badische Versicherungen has been recognized with an Eisenhut Award, impressing the distinguished panel again this year with its innovative distribution software portals. Both the company's brokerage portal, a winner last year, and the exclusive agent portal that was launched just six months ago were recognized with a silver medal in the "portals" category. The two software solutions, both of which are built on the FirstSpirit content management system, were the only ones to receive the coveted award and took top position in a highly competitive field.

The Eisenhut Award has now been awarded eleven times by the German magazines Versicherungsmagazin and Bankmagazin, together with the federal organizations Bundesverband Deutscher Versicherungskaufleute e.V. (BVK) and the Verein KuBi e.V. A total of 37 applicants entered the competitive selection process. BGV's brokerage- and exclusive agents portal won over the judges on account of the simplicity it offers users, its lean processes, and an outstanding range of services. Using the FirstSpirit content management system, the insurance provider has developed a personalized system which allows brokers and agents to quickly and easily access their individual customer accounts and contract information, including the contact history. Competitive offers, or even anonymized offers, can be created quickly and conveniently. With just a few clicks, you can check the processing status of claims or access a payment status. This results in less time-consuming red tape: New and renewal business can be processed online without time delays and policies can be issued automatically.

All important documents are provided in PDF form in a comprehensive download center. Both portals allow sales partners to conveniently access relevant information and data from any location. The panel was particularly impressed with "My BGV Marketing", the marketing platform that is integrated in the recently launched exclusive agents portal. Here agents can create and order personalized marketing materials at any time of day. The expedited processing and delivery of requested printed materials allows agents to conduct marketing activities in a simple, personalized, and effective manner.

Content integration platform for extranet and Internet

In addition to extranets for brokers and exclusive agents in the exclusive sales organization, the BGV Internet site is also created and maintained in FirstSpirit as a central access point for information for corporate-, non-corporate, and municipal customers. "Using the software as a central content integration platform, BGV has been able to greatly reduce administrative costs for its web products", said Carsten Gauch, project manager in BGV's media development department. "The solution supports the automation of many processes and thus enables short-term ROI. Another important aspect is the remarkable acceptance of the system both by customers and employees. When it comes to usability and service quality, nothing is left to chance".

Nonetheless, continued enhancement of the portals still remains one of BVG's primary goals: "In the future all our efforts will remain focused on providing maximum support to our brokers and agents in the exclusive sales organization with their daily tasks", said Hans-Gerd Coenen, marketing director at BGV. "Our goal is the timely and efficient completion of all work processes, as well as exceptional ease of use for users. After all, our ultimate goal is not to be administrators for our sales partners, but to market them".
